so a few posts back i reblogged a screenshot where the National Organization for Marriage (an anti-gay, anti-equality, pro-hate group) had an image on their website hotlinked from someone else’s website. The person they linked to wasn’t a douchebag, so he changed his image to a rainbow flag and a Thomas Jefferson quote promoting equality (effectively changing the hotlinked image on NOM’s website as well).

today, one of my followers reblogged that, saying it was a “good tactic” but he doesn’t “agree with the message.”

before i go any further, i want to remind everyone that the message is pretty strightforward and tame - ”all men are created equal.”

i don’t personally know this guy who is following me and reblogged me, so i’ll make this statement publicly:

if you are so much of an asshole that you oppose something as simple and basic as equality for your fellow humans, i’d rather you not follow me. and certainly don’t reblog me, because i don’t want my name attached to or associated with your narrow-mindedness.
